On April 23 and 24, 2010, I attended the Hemophilia Federation of America Symposium in Kansas City, MO. Among the
wide range of topics discussed was how The Healthcare Reform Act impacts our community and how states are dealing
with the new law. Also discussed: the pressures on state budgets and restrictions to state-run programs, private and
public insurance plans, genetic information access, navigating the ER and the UDC genotyping/CDC project. Overall, it
was an informative and enjoyable experience and I was proud to represent the DVC at this important conference. Great
fellowship among all attendees.
