Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Hemophila Foundation

College Scholarships

The Delaware Valley Chapter awards college scholarships to students affected by hemophilia or VWD that are treated at DVC area HTCs. Scholarships are awarded up to $1,000.00 a year for 4 years, as long as the student remains in good standing with the college! Listed below are the requirements.

  • Once you have been accepted to a college and have registered for your classes, send a letter of request to the Delaware Valley Chapter. This letter MUST include: your request for a scholarship, your name, address, phone number (and cell number), along with your email and the name of the college you will be attending. State your treatment center and diagnosis.
  • We also need a copy of your class roster (with your name and student ID on it) and a copy of your tuition bill.

Once we have received all of this information, we can process your request. All scholarship awards are made payable to the college and mailed to the student. You will be directed to send your scholarship award directly to your college. Before you can apply for another year of financial support, you must remain in good standing with the college and we require that you complete a community service project related to hemophilia or VWD. This can include volunteering at one of our events, hosting your own fundraiser and submitting all monies raised to the chapter, doing an activity to raise awareness of bleeding disorders, etc…

Please submit all of the above to:
