Benefits of Chapter Membership

The Delaware Valley Chapter continues to grow and work hard on behalf of the hemophilia community. You can help to insure the ongoing success of Chapter efforts by offering your annual membership dues and becoming a member of the DVC. Your financial support helps to fund medical research, the needs of local treatment centers, as well as those of individuals with bleeding disorders.

The Chapter provides funding for many critical programs for people with bleeding disorders, including:

• Support for nine hemophilia treatment centers in the Delaware Valley region

• Support for research projects focused on the management and cure of hemophilia

• A partner and major financial contributor to the "It's Time for a Cure" campaign, a five-year initiative of The National Hemophilia Foundation

• Support for summer camp for children with bleeding disorders

• Support for educational scholarships through the Michael Sutton Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Delaware Valley Chapter

• Outreach and education for unserved or underserved individuals

• State and federal legislative initiatives affecting the bleeding disorders' community

• Support to medical providers for education and training

• Support for patient and community education

• Support for patient life needs

• Support for a family camp and educational conferences

All members of the Delaware Valley Chapter receive the quarterly, award-winning newsletter, The Winning Spirit. This publication, recognized by The National Hemophilia Foundation as an outstanding Chapter information resource, details important information about issues of interest, as well as Chapter events.

Members are invited to all Chapter functions.
